# PORTMAN Leather > A bespoke leather goods workshop in High Park, Toronto. Every piece is designed, cut, stitched and finished by hand by one maker, Martin Portman. Founded 2020. Hand saddle stitching throughout, European hardware, and exotic skins including lizard, ostrich, python and stingray. PORTMAN is a single maker operation. There is no production line, no outsourcing, and no volume manufacturing. Pieces are made to order following a consultation at the workshop in High Park, Toronto, or virtually. The maker is self taught over six years. Two services are offered. The Custom Service, where a client selects an existing design from the collection and specifies leather, hardware and lining. The Bespoke Service, where a piece is designed from nothing. Lead times run from six weeks for smaller pieces to fourteen weeks for the most complex. A 50% deposit is taken after the consultation, with the balance due on completion. ## Collection Seventeen named designs.
